At APWG, computing is about giving children knowledge and understanding of how computers can be used. It helps them to develop problem solving skills and open their eyes to the digital world.

For this to happen, teachers combine subject knowledge and pedagogical approaches to engage children. Through the programme of study for computing, children will learn how computers and computer systems work, they will design and build programs, develop their ideas using technology and create a range of content.

Pupil's will have a variety of activities that are taught systematically to gain knowledge and skills within the Curriculum. Pupil's may use Computing across the National Curriculum and Internet Safety is a priority at APWG and we implement this as a unit of work but also throughout Computing lessons.
