Within art lessons across the APWG federation, children develop and explore their art skills and creativity using a range of media and materials.

We value the use of sketch books and a variety of tools and mediums to allow the children to explore and use their imaginations. Through high quality art lessons children learn the skills of drawing, painting, printing, collage, textiles and digital art and are given the opportunity to explore and evaluate different creative ideas.

Children will be introduced to a range of works from familiar and unfamiliar artists and develop knowledge of the styles and vocabulary in these genres and styles. They will develop their evaluation and reflection skills and use these to further develop their work.
