At APWG, History is about giving children knowledge and understanding of event in Britain's past and that of the wider world.
In order for this to happen, children will be taught to ask questions, and to think critically when exploring primary and secondary sources. They will be asked to consider different viewpoints, whilst using correct vocabulary to describe events when presenting their findings.
History is planned in chronological order so during their time at APWG children will learn from earliest Britain to present day. Within a unit of work, children will explore significant figures, social, cultural and economic aspects of that historical time.
