new. There are lots of fruit and vegetables so

not only are our meals tasty, but they are

healthy too!

A two-course nutritious meal and cold drink is

available to pupils in Sandwell each day at

school.

Our meals aren't cooked from frozen

or pre-packaged; they are freshly prepared

each day, to tried and tested recipes, by our

skilled catering staff supplied by SIPs.

If your child hasn't tried a school meal before, this is a great time to start!

Packed Lunches

If your child is having packed lunches, please ensure that your child brings their lunch in a named lunchbox with them and their water bottle each day.

The recommended contents of a healthy lunch box are:

• A good portion of starchy food e.g. bread, crackers, pasta or rice salad.
• Plenty of fruit and vegetables e.g. an apple, orange, banana, carrot sticks, small box of raisins or any other fruit or vegetable
• A portion of milk or dairy food e.g. yoghurt.
• A drink e.g. a small carton of milk, juice, squash or a bottle of water.
• A small biscuit

Please ensure no nut products (or products made in a factory that may contain nuts), glass bottles or knives are in lunchboxes and that the lunch items can be opened independently by your child as much as possible.
